What can I get around Ireland... for €550,000?

Three Dublin homes and a spacious Kilkenny property, all within this budget.

FINDING A HOME that matches your budget without compromising your list of must-haves can be tricky, but we’re here to make that task easier.

Each week we round up a selection of homes currently on the market in Ireland around the same price point, giving you a snapshot of what a particular amount could get you.

This week, we’re looking at properties around the country with an asking price of exactly €550,000, from the Dublin suburbs to Co Kilkenny.

Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 – €550,000

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom semi-detached home in Rathfarnham is the perfect project for a buyer interested in putting their own stamp on the interior design of a new home. While the interior might benefit from a little updating, it has the bones to become a stylish family home with a little paint and new flooring.

The back garden is spacious, with a separate shed for added storage, and the front garden is paved for off-street parking. The home is located close to the M50, making it ideal for city commuters. You’ll be able to walk to local shops, including Supervalu and the local butcher and fishmonger.
