4 of a kind: Homes across the country that are close to the sea

From a sprawling detached home in Waterford to a modern semi-d in Greystones.

WHAT IS IT about the sea that attracts so many house hunters? Perhaps it’s the guaranteed great views, the chance of a daily dip or that fresh sea air.

Whatever the reason, many of us dream of a life by the coast, so this week we’ve found four attractive homes across the country that offer easy access to the water, whether you’re looking to live on the east or south Ireland.

Shanagarry, Co Cork – €220,000

Greystones, Co Wicklow – €575,000

Dunmore East, Co Waterford – €675,000

Bray, Co Wicklow – price on application

Sea Gardens is a new development in the coastal town of Bray that’s made up of 126 contemporary homes. Two property types are on offer and two units are currently on the market. They offer panoramic views of the Irish Sea and are just a short stroll from the busy town that’s well-connected to Dublin city centre thanks to the DART and Dublin Bus routes.
