Take 4: Homes for every budget around Ireland

Here is our pick of properties from €250,000… up to €1 million.

GETTING INTO THE property market can be a daunting experience. Here we try and make it a bit easier – and bring you four of the best properties on the market around the country this week.

Under €250,000

Dunmore, Co Galway – €175,000

This house in Co Galway offers value for money for someone looking for a new build but not keen on the increased cost that might be expected.

The home is close to the town of Dunmore and around an hour’s drive away from Galway city.

In total the building comes with four bedrooms on the second floor and generous ground floor living spaces. The home’s description claims that it must be “judged on inspection to appreciate the size and scale.”

While the interior of the property requires some renovation – this can be justified by it being on the market for substantially below the national average asking price of €193,000.

Under €500,000

Cork, city centre – €325,000

This four-storey Georgian townhouse comes with the opportunity for potential buyers to part let and part occupy. In total the house has seven bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Restored in recent times, the building has modern gas central heating, sliding divides in some of the rooms and timber, parquet and tiled floors in various parts of the building.

It is thought the home was built circa 1825 and boasts some pretty spectacular views from its top windows.

Donegal, Muff – €575,000

Keeping with the Georgian theme, people looking for property in the north of the country might be drawn to this three-storey, five-bedroom home in Donegal.

The house has been constructed and finished to a high standard – fitted with a full-sized snooker table, spa room and hot tub.

This home would suit a buyer looking for luxury over location. The nearest village is four miles away – with the major towns of Derry city and Buncrana being 15 minutes away by car.

Under €1 million

Situated in one of the country’s most desirable residential areas, this home in the south Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge is on the market for just under €1 million.

This residence appeals to those looking for design and location above size. While its rooms are well proportioned – it only comes with two bedrooms, which could be a restricting factor for families.

The home also has an 18 sq. mt. back garden.
