Garda in hospital after being attacked at Dublin housing estate

It happened in the early hours of this morning in Balinteer.

A GARDA HAS been taken to hospital after an incident at a housing estate in south Dublin.

This happened in the early hours of this morning at Hillview Estate in Balinteer.

It is understood that a garda, who was attending the scene from Dundrum Garda Station, was attacked.

The injured garda was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment.

Two men aged 18 and 20 were arrested and held for road traffic and public order offences.

A car was also recovered during the operation.

Both are set to appear before Dún Laoghaire District Court in March in connection with the incident.
