Tipperary town: Four-bedroom, detached

If you’re looking for a unique home with history,  this former postal sorting office, that’s walking distance from Tipperary town, might fit the bill. It dates to 1895 but has been completely restored and modernised inside and out. Thankfully, the renovations didn’t interfere too much with the structure’s original features; you can still spot the red brick detailing which enhances its symmetrical facade.

Inside, original exposed brickwork only adds to the charm of the landing and sitting room. The rooms are large, bright and airy – just what you might expect from a period home. An electronic gate leads to the gravel drive and there is parking to the back while the garden is home to a storage shed.
