Technology company expanding its operations in Ballybrit with a range of jobs.

HP HAD ANNOUNCED it is creating 50 new jobs for engineering specialists at its global IT offices in Ballybrit, Co Galway.

The roles range from graduate to senior and include immediate vacancies for engineering managers, data achitects, technical writers and system architects.

The company said that the new jobs are supported by the government through the IDA and added that they would provide successful applicants the opportunity to work on a large complex corporate engineering programme.

HP Ireland’s managing director Martin Murphy said: “HP in Galway is one of the key centres of worldwide cloud development and these new people will join a team that is developing technology that will play a major part of HP’s future.”

Minister for Enterprise Richard Bruton welcomed the announcement of HP’s expansion, saying that the tech company’s operations in Ireland “has meant high-end jobs for Irish graduates”.
