This could be the first Android Wear watch you will want to buy

And it could even *whisper it* give Apple Watch a run for its money in the style department.

MOVE OVER MOTO 360, there’s a new smartwatch in town and it could become the first Android Wear watch this is worth buying.

At the W Barcelona, the Chinese company unveiled its first Android Wear watch, called Huawei Watch, which was unveiled by Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu to cheers from the crowd.

For one, it uses a sapphire crystal design giving it a premium look. Yu emphasised that this style makes it look like a real watch, a indirect dig to other smartwatches which prioritise features over style.

The strategy is very similar to Apple who showed off its watch in fashion shows as a way to highlight it’s a stylish choice and not one for tech savvy individuals. The device will be marketed towards both men and women, allowing different colours (Black, silver and gold) as well as 40+ customisable watch faces.

It combines fitness and activity tracking with the same functionality that Android Wear offers, allowing you to check your calendar, email, Facebook, Twitter and take calls. It also showcases its fitness tracking features, a reoccurring theme during Huawei’s presentation.

The device will be made available in the middle of the year according to Yu, with June being mentioned.

The company revealed two other devices, the first was the Talkband B2 is a combination of talk and track, according to its CEO Richard Yu, and it’s seen as a way to track your sporting activity as well as something you can wear in day-to-day life.

Something that was emphasised was the speaking experience, the band comes with dual mics which allows clear speaking quality. It also doubles up as a Bluetooth speaker which you can place in your ear, as well as a find your phone feature. It’s said to have 5 days battery life and is compatible with iOS and Android.

The second device was the TalkBand N1, a 4GB hands-free activity device which allows you to listen to music and make and receive calls while you’re on the go.
