Hundreds injured after grandstand collapses in Brazil

Authorities believe structural problems may to be to blame for the disaster.

HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE were injured, 22 seriously, at a car race in Brazil today when the metal grandstand they were standing on collapsed.

The video below shows that the stand completely collapsed within seconds.

Brazil’s authorities have launched an investigation, but have indicated that structural problems are probably to blame for the incident.

The incident occurred at Quatro Pontes Stadium in the state of Parana, southern Brazil.
