Last week marked 20 years since Today FM first appeared on our radios, and has remained a cornerstone of the Irish radio industry since.

Ian Dempsey jumped ship from RTÉ and joined the fledgling commercial station soon afterwards.

Speaking to TheJournal.ie, he shared his memories of the station’s early days, and how it has still retained its edge.
