Icy conditions led to two separate school bus crashes in Cork this morning

AA Roadwatch says there were a number of road incidents across Cork this morning.

TWO SCHOOL BUSES were involved in separate road incidents this morning as a result of black ice on the roads.

A secondary school bus skidded on ice on the road between Leamlara and Carrigtwohill, and is now wedged between both sides of the road.

It’s understood that children were on board the bus at the time of the incident. However, there are no reports of any injuries.

Emergency services are now attending the scene.

AA Roadwatch says there were a number of road incidents across Cork this morning due to icy conditions.

At around 8am, another bus skidded on black ice at Minane Bridge near Carrigaline.

A number of students have been treated for minor injuries.

It’s also reported that a number of cars were involved in accidents in that area this morning.
