With 58,000 students picking up their results today, here’s how some of them reacted…

ALMOST 58,000 STUDENTS picked up their Leaving Cert results this morning – a big day for families around the country.

There were some stellar results, with ten students claiming nine A1s and 141 landing the perfect 600 points. But failure rates were also high in some subjects, especially the sciences.

We’ve already seen some good advice on Twitter for those picking up their results – but what was it like in the moment? Several photographers around the country captured teenagers’ reactions in pictures:
