Police said they received a report about an older school boy carrying out the assault.

POLICE IN SOUTH Belfast are investigating a report that a six-year-old girl was assaulted by an older schoolboy yesterday.

Detectives with the PSNI said they are appealing for information about an incident which allegedly occurred between 4.20pm and 4.50pm in Findon Gardens, Taughmonagh.

Detective Sergeant Ciara Mullan said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information that they feel might help the investigation to contact us in CID at Musgrave Police Station on the non emergency number 101 and ask for extension 17225″.
