This infographic shows just how much food we waste

1.3bn tonnes, in fact.

30 PER CENT of all food we produce is thrown away, according to an Irish not-for-profit company aimed at turning this waste into meals.

FoodCloud, set up last year, has been working with charities in Dublin and has provided as many as 13,000 meals from re-using waste.

They’ve put together this infographic to demonstrate what further changes can made in Ireland to not only save food, but to save money as well.
