Investigation launched into Athlone woman’s death

A GARDA INVESTIGATION HAS been launched in to the death of a woman in Athlone. The woman, who was in her early 50s, was found at her home on the Moydrum Road by a relative yesterday evening at about 7pm. The scene has been sealed off by gardaí. A post-mortem will be carried out by the state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy later today.
