Investigation launched into helicopter crash

THE AIR ACCIDENT Investigation Unit is investigating a helicopter crash in Taughmaconnell, Co Roscommon yesterday evening. One person was on board at the time, but was not injured. It is understood the helicopter, a Robinson 44, came down at around 8pm. The AAIU travelled to the scene for an initial inquiry last night and is carrying out a technical analysis of the crash site this morning.
