Ireland’s oldest ad agency calls it a day

EASON ADVERTISING has decided to cease trading after over 40 years in operation. The business has been taken over by Irish International BBDO and six of Eason’s staff will join BBDO. Eason Advertising is owned by the book and newspaper distribution group Eason & Son, and its clients include Eason & Son and Time Warner. It made a pre-tax profit of €645,000 in year end to February 2008.
