#DR CONGO: With 26 civilians reported killed by militants linked to the Islamic State group and rebel combat spreading closer to the provincial capital Goma, eastern DR Congo appeared in turmoil today.

#GAZA: A full ceasefire in Gaza would only help Hamas as Israel wages an air campaign against the militant group, but humanitarian “pauses” should be considered to let vital aid in, the White House said today.

#NORTH KOREA: Four North Koreans have been found in a small wooden boat in South Korean waters in what is likely to be a rare case of North Koreans taking a risky sea voyage to flee to the South, Seoul officials said.
