Irish bands gigging as Gaeilge

Tiúin! Irish acts promise to perform a few hits in Irish for Barnardos charity gig tomorrow.

WELL, IT’S THE week that’s in it. Irish bands from Republic of Loose to Delorentos and Heathers will be performing some of their best-known songs in Irish for a Seachtain na Gaeilge concert tomorrow night.

The gig, in Vicar Street from 7.30pm tomorrow, is in aid of Barnardos children’s charity and tickets are €20 from Ticketmaster (or, if you’re lucky, on the door). Bands playing include the aforementioned Loose, Delorentos and sister singers Heathers, but also Fiach, The Flaws, Lumiere, Lir, Dublin Gospel Choir and Luan Parle.

Tickets are €20 – and the bands have promised to have a go at a few tunes as Gaeilge.
