Watch our Irish language live event: An Ghaeilge - Faoi bhrú nó faoi bhláth

Cómhrá beo, suimiúil faoi thodhcaí na Gaeilge, ag teacht chugaibh ó The Good Information Project.

LAST UPDATE | 30 Mar 2022

DÉ hAOINE SEO caite, d’eagraigh The Good Information Project painéal díospóireachta  sa Daingean chun an cheist seo a phlé: “An Ghaeilge: Faoi bhrú nó faoi bhláth?”

Bhí Seán Kelly MEP, réalt Tiktok agus ‘Kerry Cowboy’ Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin, Orlaith Ruiséal ón Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne agus Lisa Nic an Breithimh ón European Movement Ireland mar aíonna saineolacha againn, agus bhí Sláine Ní Cháthalláin ó Raidió na Gaeltachta ann mar ósta agus modhnóir.

Tá an cómhrá iomlán ar fáil anois daoibh anseo.

Luadh ceisteanna tábhachtacha agus spéisiúila, mar shampla an ghéarchéim tithíochta sa Ghaeltacht go sonrach, agus an daonra liath sna áiteanna sin. Mar a dúirt Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin, ní bheidh aon pobal Ghaeltachta ann mura bhfuil aon pobal ar bith ann.

Freisin, cuireadh brú ar TDs níos mó Gaeilge a labhairt sa Dáil. Bhí sé á ra ag MEP Seán Kelly nach bhfuil an iomarca Gaeilge á úsáid san Oireachtas, agus go bhfuil cúram ar TDs níos mó iarrachta a dhéanamh.

Ábhair eile a bhí pléite ná an ról atá ag meáin shóisialta ag cur na teanga chun cinn i measc daoine óga; na deiseanna ann do dhaoine an Ghaeilge a labhairt ina gnáthsaol; agus an bhfuil a ndóthain jabanna ar fáil trí Gaeilge.
