COMMUTERS FACE POSSIBLE difficulties this morning due to a ‘technical issue’ with Irish Rail ticket vending machines.

The technical issue means passengers who made online bookings cannot collect their tickets from the ticket vending machines.

An Irish Rail spokesperson said it is “working to rectify this issue at present”.

The spokesperson added that passengers should retain their proof of purchase and booking reference, and that an update will follow later this morning.
