Irish Rail tweets that they're coming for the truck driver who hit a bridge

Watch your back, truck driver.

THINGS WE HAVE learned this morning: Don’t ever mess with Irish Rail.

The train company was less than impressed after a rogue truck driver hit a bridge in Clontarf in north Dublin just after 7am.

The crash caused delays of 20-30 minutes for DART and commuter trains in the city centre during one of the busiest times of day on public transport as the damage was inspected.

The truck driver responsible did not report the smash and did not remain at the scene. Irish Rail said the impact was spotted by a crew from Dublin City Council who reported it.

Needless to say, Irish Rail – and the thousands of commuters affected by the ensuing long delays – were not too happy.
