Irishman dies after assault in Mexico

It’s understood the man was in a coma since the attack.

AN IRISH MAN has died in Mexico, ten days after being assaulted. 

It’s understood that the man died in hospital after being in a coma since the attack in the city of Ciudad Juarez.

Local news outlet El Diario reports that the 26-year-old died from brain injuries he received on June 18.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has told TheJournal.ie, “We have not been approached regarding consular assistance in this instance.  We stand ready to provide assistance if requested.”
