Irishman killed in car accident at Dutch campsite

The 38-year-old was accidentally crushed in his car while parking at the site in Limburg on Sunday afternoon.

A 38-YEAR-OLD Irishman has died after an incident involving his car at a campsite in Limburg, the Netherlands last Sunday.

North Limburg police said in a statement that the man, named as Anthony English, appeared to have become crushed between the door and roof of his vehicle while parking at the camp shortly before 3pm on Sunday.

It is believed the man had been working for the logistics and courier firm DHL.

Police said that the man died at the scene and they are not treating his death as suspicious.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed to TheJournal.ie that it is aware of the death and is providing consular assistance.
