Bond auction: Your Roadster has arrived

Classic cars, M’s letter opener, first-edition Fleming books and Daniel Craig’s sunglasses: all up for grabs in charity 50 Years of James Bond auction.

CHEQUEBOOKS AT THE ready: the James Bond memorabilia going under the hammer at a special 50th anniversary of the movie franchise has been revealed.

The line-up doesn’t include some of the fantasy lots we dreamed about when we heard of the charity auction last week. It does however include signed first-edition of some of Ian Fleming’s books upon which the films were based, poker props from Casino Royale, a pre-reproduction Roadster from The World is Not Enough, costumes worn by stars in some of the films and more.

  • 50 years of James Bond auction

  • First edition book of Dr No

    The first edition, a reproduction of the historic first call sheet for Dr No. Reserve: €1,200-1,700
  • Hotel Fontainebleau props from Goldfinger

    Including an ashtray, headed stationery and a Do Not Disturb room door sign. Reserve: €1,700-€2,000
  • Thunderball cinema door panels

    All unfolded and linen-backed, apparently. Reserve: €6,800 - 9,000.
  • Prop gun from You Only Live Twice

    This and a set of four prop suction pads used by Sean Connery in the film are in one lot. Reserve: €1,700 - 2,800
  • Tarot cards from Live and Let Die

    These were used by Jane Seymour as Solitaire; the lot also includes an original film script from the set. Reserve: €900 - 1,300.
  • The Solex Agitator

    The famous Solex Agitator solar energy device from The Man With The Golden Gun. Reserve: €2,300 - 3,400
  • Moonraker model

    A highly-detailed scale model by Derek Meddings of the Moonraker 1 space shuttle and a digital reproduction of artwork by Sir Ken Adam. Reserve: €9,000 - 13,000
  • Snooper Dog robot model

    As well as the robot, you get an original US one-sheet film poster signed by Duran Duran, theme song performers for A View to A Kill. Reserve: €3,400 - 5,600
  • Timothy Dalton's suit

    This is the suit worn by Dalton as Bond in Living Daylights. You also get a three-piece cocktail ensemble worn by Kara Milovy as Maryam d'Abo and a print of the original costume design signed by designer Emma Porteous. Reserve: €900 - 1,300
  • Pierce Brosnan's chair

    Pierce Brosnan's folding director's chair from the Goldeneye set and a clapperboard used on set are in one lot. Reserve: €900 - 1,300
  • Replica Roadster for The World Is Not Enough

    This pre-reproduction replica of a BMW Z8 was made for The World Is Not Enough. Reserve: €29,000 - 39,000
  • 'Ice' props from Die Another Day

    The coffee table, chairs, candelabra and champagne bottle are made of clear resin but looked to be made of ice in Die Another Day. Reserve: €2,300 - 3,400.
  • Casino Royale poker table

    The table and chips, cards and bills were used in the One & Only Ocean Club in the film. Reserve: €3,400 - 5,600
  • M's office equipment

    A letter knife and tray, prop letter and note in M's desk in Quantum of Solace. Reserve: €900 - 1,300
  • Daniel Craig's sunglasses

    Aviators, designed by Tom Ford, as worn by Daniel Craig as Bond in Quantum of Solace. Reserve: €2,300 - 3,400. His watch is also available - for €6,800 - 9,000 minimum reserve.
