Jamie Foxx drags man to safety from burning truck

The actor intervened after the car crashed outside the front of his home.

JAMIE FOXX, KNOWN for his work as an actor, comedian and musician, can now seemingly add ‘lifesaver’ to that list.

The Oscar winner is being praised this morning after helping a man whose truck crashed and caught fire in front of his home.

The 32-year-old Brett Kyle had been speeding when he lost control on the roadway in front of Foxx’s house.

After rolling a number of times, the car landed on its roof and caught fire with Kyle still inside.

Acting quickly with the help of another man, Foxx was able to pull Kyle from the burning wreckage.

Speaking about the rescue effort, Foxx said: “I don’t look at it as heroic. I just look at it as… you just had to do something,” Foxx told CBS Los Angeles.

Appearing on CNN, Brad Kyle, father of Brett, appeared emotional when asked about Foxx’s intervention.

I think we all hope we could do something when the time is there but the question is ‘do we?’. Do we act or do we fear our own lives? And he did not [fear for his own life].
