We have the Uppa Baby Vista, which is absolutely brilliant, but it is on the bulky side. The Minu is the Vista’s slinky sister. It’s a more lightweight, nippy, little buggy that folds in one step, with one hand! It takes up very little boot space and weighs less than 7kg. It’s perfect for travelling too as it can fit in overhead cabins, and even comes with a backpack style case to make life super easy.
The Rolls Royce of highchairs, the Stokke Tripp Trapp is an ingenious chair that grows with your baby from birth right up to school age and beyond. It’s fully adaptable and has a unique design to ergonomically support your child while they eat/play/do homework etc. The Scandi design has been on the market since 1972 and is made to fit right under the table, meaning your baby eats as part of the family. The best bit, it’s actually stylish so not another piece of plastic, neon baby paraphernalia cluttering up your house!
Ah, the struggle of getting a baby into their car seat! We have the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix which has been great, but our daughter is rapidly outgrowing it. When the time comes to change car seats, I love the look of the Axiss. It has all the usual safety features, reclining positions etc but the appeal is the clever rotating seat. This nifty design means you’re not stretching sideways as you strap your baby in and out of their chair. If you haven’t come across the old arched back, ninja baby move just you wait. This chair should help!
If you’re on Instagram, you’ll already know this rocker. All of the chic ‘Instamoms’ have their trendy babies bouncing away in it. This piece is probably more about aesthetics than the usual bells and whistles (literally) that come with baby products. Your baby’s natural movements will rock them back and forth and the soft, machine washable cushion will keep them nice and comfy. Definitely a product for parents who want something compact, minimal but still very functional and baby-friendly.
The Hugg Co-Sleeper is designed by Irish company BabaBou and is absolutely gorgeous. Their award-winning design focuses on functionality with sustainability being a huge part of the brand’s ethos. The crib integrates with your bed allowing for all the benefits of co-sleeping but allowing the baby have their own, safe space. What I love most is that the crib can convert into a stylish table or bench when is no longer needed as a cot. Multi-functional and beautiful – a winning combination.
People swear by this thing! Whether you need it for travelling or to simply make your baby’s room darker, this seems to be the go-to blind for sleepy parents. It has handy suction cups, Velcro and plenty of material, so it should work on most windows up to 135cm x 200cm. Anything to help get a few more minutes sleep!
This pretty little coat is waterproof, fleece lined and machine washable making it the perfect coat to get your little one through to springtime. While I love a classic yellow fisherman coat, there’s something sweet about this floral print!
Whether you’re doing baby-led or traditional weaning, this seems like a very handy piece of kit. It does it all when it comes to baby food prep – steams, blends, defrosts, reheats. If only it could sit at the highchair and spoon it in too! It has lots of clever features, but anything that makes life even a tiny bit easier with kids is a winner in my eyes.
I don’t know if it’s just my family, but all of the babies get their first pair of real shoes from Clarks. I remember little patent leather t-bars but when I looked online, things have gone up a notch in the style stakes. Gold, polka dot, burgundy and even leopard print options are available in the teeniest of sizes and I can’t wait to deck my daughter out in a pair!
