DUBLIN

Sunday Sketching: These workshops at the Hugh Lane Gallery for explore paintings, sculpture and architectural features through discussion and drawing – a great introduction to art.

Art Trolley: Rua Red in Tallaght is running its parent and child workshops again and they are well worth a visit. Divided into younger children and older children, these age appropriate workshops explore lots of different mediums and are great fun for everyone.

Like Me: This exhibition in The Dock gallery in Carrick On Shannon is a great introduction to modern artists and how they approach work, sure to inspire kids with an interest in art. Like Me is a group show by three artists incorporating elements like frieze, iconography and collage.

MONAGHAN

Easter Pottery Camp: The no-school fun can extend in to next week thanks to the Easter break, and Busy Bee Ceramics is running a kids’ camp for would-be potters. You’ll make fairy doors, Easter nests and more to take home.

Wreath-Making Workshop: The Connacht Textile Crafters are hosting two drop-in workshops at the Museum of Country Life in Mayo this Saturday where they’ll show kids, families and everyone else how to create wreaths for all seasons.

CAVAN

Kids Craft Club: The Craft Cabin in Ballyconnell, Cavan is hosting a drop-in craft club this Saturday where kids can complete three different craft projects to bring home, plus some colouring and even a game or two. If your little one enjoys it, good news – it’s a monthly occurrence.
