A man has died after a house fire in Co Kildare

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his mid-40s has died following a house fire in Ballyhagan, Co Kildare overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire near Carbury at about 3.30am last night and the man was pronounced at the scene.

His body remained at the scene this morning before being removed removed to the morgue at Naas hospital.

Gardaí have launched an investigation but the circumstances of the fire are not thought to be suspicious.
