Price Comparison: What can I buy in Kildare for under €500,000?

Including a modern five-bed in Newbrdige and an energy efficient three-bed in Kildare town.

GETTING YOUR HEAD around a fast-changing property market can be difficult, but we’re here to make things easier.

Each week, we pick four homes around a similar budget, to give you an idea of the property landscape at a particular time and price point.

This week, we’re looking at properties in Co Kildare that have starting prices of under €500,000 – including a modern five-bed in Newbridge and an energy efficient three-bed in Kildare town.

Three-bed, semi-detached, Kildare town – €300,000

55 Curragh Finn is a 134 m² home that’s just a stroll from Kildare train station so would make an ideal option for commuters to the capital. The house is located in a family-friendly estate and is tucked away in a quiet corner but also overlooks a shared green.

The rooms inside comprise a hallway that leads to the lounge and a kitchen with a dining area that connects to the sunroom. There’s also a pantry, utility room and storeroom that could also be a handy office. Of the three bedrooms upstairs, the main has an en suite bathroom while the others share the family bathroom. Kildare town, and so plenty of schools, are also just a walk away.

79 Beechmount is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with a large mature green area to the front giving families an instant sense of community. There is also a private garden to the back that’s home to a timber shed for extra storage. The house is has a D2 BER, so could use a few updates to bring this rating up. Busy Newbridge town is also just a walk away, making this an ideally located home for a young family.
