Man dies after farm accident in Kilkenny

Another is in a serious condition.

A MAN HAS died and another has been seriously injured following a farm accident in Kilkenny earlier this evening.

The pair, understood to be father and son, were working at a farm in Clonard, Ballycallan using a loader when an accident took place involving the vehicle’s bucket at around 6.20pm

The deceased is aged in his 60s. The younger man received a serious but non-life threatening leg injury.

The scene has been preserved ahead of a forensic examination. The Health and Safety Authority is due to visit the scene tomorrow morning.
