Man in his late 60s killed in Kilkenny house fire

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his late 60s has died in a house fire in Kilkenny.

It happened in Ballytarsney this morning.

Emergency services were called to the fire at around 10am but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The house is located in a rural area and no one else was in the house at the time of the fire.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
