Man in his 70s killed in single-vehicle crash

He was the sole occupant of the car.

GARDAÍ IN KILKENNY are appealing for witnesses following a crash that left a man in his 70s dead.

The single-vehicle incident occurred around 2.30pm today. It happened in the village of The Rower between Graiguenamanagh and New Ross. The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. He was the sole occupant of the car.

Garda forensic collision investigators are at the crash site and the road is currently closed to traffic. Local diversions are currently in place.
