Elderly couple seriously injured in Kerry road crash

AN ELDERLY COUPLE have been critically injured in a single vehicle collision in Co Kerry.

The accident happened at about 7.45pm yesterday evening at Lissivigeen, about 3 kilometres from Killarney.

The couple, a 75-year-old man who was driving and a 77-year-old woman who was his passenger, were taken from the scene to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee with serious injuries.

The cause of the collision is not yet known.

Gardaí at Killarney are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 064 6631222.
