Bodies of murdered mother and daughter flown home for funeral

A 26-year-old Lithuanian man, Aurimus Andruska was charged with killing Jolanta and Enrika three weeks ago.

THE BODIES OF a murdered mother and her daughter are to be flown from Dublin to Lithuania today for their double funeral.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and eight-year-old Enrika were both found dead at their home at Langford Downs, Killorglin, Co Kerry on 16 June. A post-mortem found that they had suffered knife wounds.

Their bodies are being repatriated to Jolanta’s home village, Gedrimai, Lithuania with funds raised by the mother and daughter’s family and friends, both in Ireland and Eastern Europe.

Marius Lubys (29), Jolanta’s husband and father to Enrika, initially set up the fund after he said he could not afford the €20,000 to fly their bodies home to be buried.
