Dream car of the week: Lamborghini Gallardo V10 Coupe

Every week we bring you a dream car, you know, the one you’d buy if you won the lottery.

SWOON! CHECK OUT this gorgeous Lamborghini Gallardo. This baby Lambo is named after the historic breed that created the Miura line of bulls during the 1840s and is the best-selling Lambo ever by some margin.

This is a proper two-seat sports car, which is buckets of fun to drive. But one of the best things about this dream car is the glorious sound of the 5.0-litre V10 engine. Revving this thing sends tingles from your feet right through your body to the pleasure zones in your brain. Seriously, it’s impossible not to get giddy listening to the awesome symphony of noises roaring from the mid-mounted aluminium engine.

Behind the wheel, it’s easy to drive – it has a six-speed manual transmission, the steering is light and it has great traction thanks to its all-wheel drive. It is lightening quick with very responsive road handling. The powertrain is mounted low in the chassis, keeping the centre of gravity as close to the ground as possible.

This particular car is finished in Midas pearl yellow with two-tone Nero and Giallo leather interior. The exterior and interior perfectly match the engine in terms of loudness, and that is exactly what you want from a dream supercar, right? Forget blending in, this car screams ‘look at me’, or ‘guardami’, seen as how it is Italian. This car comes with 19-inch Callisto alloy wheels which meld Lamborghini’s signature five-hole theme with that of a modern five-spoke. The Lamborghini Gallardo effortlessly combines Italian style and flair with Teutonic levels of functionality and quality. There is lots of leg room and head room and the cabin features familiar Audi switchgear and dials. The bucket seats are fully electric and the cabin also features satnav, dual zone climate control, air-con and Bluetooth.

Safety features include ABS, front head airbags, stability control, traction control and electronic brakeforce distribution. It also comes with a very large and well-documented service history. This Lamborghini Gallardo has a 0-100km/h time of just 4.2 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 309km/h. It has 41,843km on the clock and an asking price of €129,950. If this is your dream car, get on down to Adrian Quinn Car Sales and take this beauty out for a test drive.

And that why its called your Leaving Certificate.

It qualifies you to leave, by the nearest exit, while the gloden circle dynastic ascendancies continue to consolidate the wealth of the island into their offshore havens.

But you can come back when you’re on your feet and we’ll have another pint of your blood.

Totally, it’s because there’s no building boom that sees young lads leaving to work on sites

It’s good to see, but I wish more parents would encourage kids to complete their education, regardless of opportunities that might be present in the economy. We need to have at least an LC as a fall back position for shifts in the economy.

Obviously, the unemployment from the boom is as unprecedented as the bubble itself was, but we wouldn’t have such difficulty with skills conversion if there was a higher general level of education.

That’s why cuts to education, grants etc while setting up schemes to allow employers get free interns is so risable. You have to play the long game, and training people with relevant skills is far more important than giving corporate dole to massage the headline unemployment figures.

Yeah its crazy how some people and their parents don’t see that value in education. I never saw not finishing school as an option, but I remember that around the time of my junior cert there was guy bragging about leaving school after it!

    Crazy.

Ruairi Quinn is quietly taking credit for this too, the man is deluded. The young people see the writing on the wall, finish school to get the hell out of here. He sees this as a success, maybe statistically but not so in reality, truth is we are losing our hope for the future right there.

I would assume that this would, in part anyway be due to a lack of apprenticeships in the trades!

Of course they are staying in school, what else is there for them to do! I’d say a lot of people now are wishing they could go back, sit the leaving again sure. It would be better than sitting on your arse penniless, frustrated and bored.

And with these good figures the government want to cut back even further!? Bunch of morons. Makes me so angry. Especially when they can throw away a million euro on some stupid pointless river boat!!! :-o
