Dream car of the week: Land Rover Defender 110 Adventure Edition

Every week we bring you a dream car – you know, the one you’d buy if you won the lottery.

AFTER NEARLY SEVEN decades of production the Land Rover Defender has been killed off, which mean buying this limited edition Adventure model can be looked at as not only a practical family purchase (you are effectively buying a tank for the school run) but it can also be seen as an investment and collector’s item.

What makes this car even more special is that only 2,277 were produced.

This car is an icon of the automotive world and is the kind of car that leads to great adventures and stories and fond memories, but ownership is not for the faint hearted with it falling into the highest tax band and its laughable fuel economy, 11.1 litres/100km; that’s just 25.5mpg. But forget about those little things and think of all the fun you will have dominating the road in a Landie!

You also get such conveniences as Bluetooth, radio, electric front windows, remote central locking, air-con, heated front seats and a heated windscreen.
