Katie Hopkins on the Late Late in 2014. RTÉ screengrab

Poll: Will you watch Katie Hopkins on tonight's Late Late?

RTÉ has received over 600 emails complaining about the booking.

RTÉ IS COMING in for criticism for its decision to book the controversial TV personality Katie Hopkins for tonight’s Late Late Show.

As of last night, the national broadcaster had received over 600 emails complaining about the decision. A statement from RTÉ defended the move saying that Hopkins had been booked as she was one of Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters in the UK and would be giving her take on why his message resonated with American voters.

Last month, the Council of Europe branded an infamous article by Hopkins as hate speech. In the piece, which was entitled ‘Rescue boats? I’d use gunships to stop migrants‘, Hopkins referred to would-be refugees as “cockroaches”.

This morning we’re asking: Will you watch Katie Hopkins on the Late Late Show?

Poll Results:

No (13752)
Yes (4833)
No interest/no opinion (3238)
