Here's a sneak peek of this year's Late Late Toy Show set

It’s the best one yet.

GUYS. IT’S TOY Show night. Christmas is officially here.

DailyEdge.ie went down to RTÉ yesterday for a preview of the set, and we can confidently tell you that you’re in for a treat.

This year’s theme is Beauty and the Beast, and the studio is beautifully done up as Beast’s castle – complete with a sweeping staircase, towering castle gates, and an homage to the Beast’s breathtaking library, which is, of course, the book corner.

Host Ryan Tubridy came up with the theme right after last year’s show ended, and told DailyEdge.ie that he could already envision the opening number, even at such an early stage:

There’s great scope for music and also for the kids, because there’s knives and forks and plates and spoons and cupboards and clocks…

Tubs said he will be “heavily involved” in said opening number, which will involve some “dancing” and “singing” on his part.

“Please employimage the use of lots of inverted commas when talking about this," he said. "You will see me as you've never seen me before, and will never want to see me again."

And as for the festive jumpers on the menu for tomorrow? Well, Tubridy says he won't be sporting the work of art above tomorrow, but there will be at least three jumper changes during the show. Colour us intrigued.

See the spectacular set in all its glory on the Late Late Show, tonight on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
