Schoolkids from Cork just made 'Lego 1916 The Movie' and it's totally amazing

Seriously you need to see this.

A GANG OF nine-year-old boys from Cork have told the story of the Easter Rising in Lego.

The third class of Sunday’s Well Boys National School on the northside of Cork city, encouraged by teacher Michael O’Connor, recreated the whole story in stop-motion animation.

It’s called Lego 1916 The Movie, and it’s possibly the best thing to come out of the centenary so far.

It’s got action:

It’s got tension:

It’s got tragedy:

It’s actually just deadly from start to finish. Here’s the full video. Huge congratulations to the lads of Sunday’s Well (and what we’re guessing is a pretty amazing teacher in Mr O’Connor…)
