Limbs found in Hollywood Hills after severed head sparks search

A human head was discovered by two dogwalkers on Tuesday in an area near the Hollywood sign.

LA POLICE searching an area near the famous Hollywood sign after the discovery of a severed head this week have found a number of limbs.

The LA Times reports that the authorities found two hands and two feet, and are hoping to be able to recover fingerprints from the hands.

Two women who were walking dogs in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday discovered a man’s head in a plastic bag. Police launched a major search of the area for the rest of the victim’s remains.

Officials will test the body parts to confirm they are from the same person. The head has not yet been identified, but investigators may release a sketch in an effort to identify the victim.

Police said that the man may have been killed elsewhere before his remains were brought to the park. They said earlier that the head appeared to have been severed recently.
