Young woman hospitalised after crash near Limerick city has died in hospital

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

A YOUNG WOMAN has died as a result of her injuries from a road crash in Co Limerick last month. 

Gardaí has issued a renewed appeal for witnesses following the fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a car, which occurred on the R503 at Drominboy, Lisnagry, Co. Limerick, on Tuesday 30th July 2024 at approximately 8.40pm.

The male driver and female passenger of the car – both aged in their 20s – were transferred to hospital for treatment for serious injuries following the crash.

The female passenger was receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital and passed away from her injuries last Sunday.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were traveling on the R503 road near Lisngry, Co. Limerick, on Tuesday 30th July 2024, between 7.45pm and 8.45pm, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
