Two arrested after gardaí seize over €500,000 worth of drugs in Limerick

Gardaí seized suspected cocaine worth €490,000 after stopping and searching a vehicle.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two men and seized €560,000 worth of suspected cocaine during searches at a number of locations in Limerick city yesterday.

During a separate search of a property in the city, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €70,000 was seized.

The drugs seized will now undergo further analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

Two men, aged in their 40s and 60s, were arrested and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 in a Garda station in the Limerick area.

Investigations are ongoing.
