A WOMAN WAS rescued after her house caught fire last night.

The woman had been rescued by her neighbour after the fire broke out at a house in Walnut Court, Kennedy Park after 7.30pm last night.

Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service were mobilised after the alarm was raised.

On arrival, a neighbour had successfully rescued the lady, believed to be in her 60s, from the downstairs living room.
