Price comparison: What can I buy for under €400k in Limerick?

From a four bed semi-d in Dooradoyle to a three bed townhouse on South Circular Road.

GETTING OUR HEADS around the fluctuating property market can be confusing, but we’re here to make things a little easier.

Each week, we’ll pick a number of homes within a similar budget, to give you a a better idea of where things are at at any given time.

This week, we’re looking at properties that are on the market in Limerick – from a four bed semi-d in Dooradoyle to a three bed townhouse on South Circular Road, all of these should leave you change if you’ve got a €400k budget.

Four bed, semi-detached, Dooradoyle – €365,000

3 The Green is a nicely-sized four bed home that spans 140 m² and has a large back garden. Built in 1996, inside comprises an inter-connecting living/dining room that leads to the cream fitted kitchen and a second family room. The fixtures and fittings include timber floors, glass panelled doors, a marble fireplace providing the perfect base for anyone to add their own style.

This is a home that’s very well suited to a family at any stage seeing as schools of both levels are just walks away, as is The Crescent Shopping Centre and UHL.

38 Avondale Drive is a surprisingly spacious and bright semi-d that wouldn’t be difficult to put your own stamp on. With a floor space of 130m², the ground floor comprises two sitting room , one that looks over the front of the house and the other that accesses the south facing back garden. The interconnecting kitchen and dining room is well zoned and has a great flow. Currently used as a utility room, there is a room with separate access that might suit an extra bedroom if needed. Just a short stroll from Limerick city centre sits 5 Shannon Terrace, a period property with a good BER of B3 and a floor space of 122 m².
