Poll: Should there be a living wage?

What do you think?

A REPORT ISSUED by the ESRI today says that raising the minimum wage won’t do much for many low wage earners.

More than 11 out of every 12 low-paid workers came from homes where combined incomes sat above the poverty line, it said.

But that is at odds with the experience of many low wage earners. The report has sparked debate about whether or not there should be a living wage, pegged at around €11.50 an hour.

What do you think?

We’re asking: Should there be a living wage?

Poll Results:

Yes (8769)
No (3312)
I don't know (847)
