Nine injured in crash between car and double decker bus

Seven people were hospitalised following the incident.

NINE PEOPLE HAVE been injured after a London bus collided with a Smart car this morning.

The incident happened at 7.40am in Enfield, North London, when the W8 bus crashed into the car.

Nine people were injured in total, with two being treated on the scene.

The female driver of the car, which was badly damaged in the crash, was taken to a nearby hospital emergency department “as a priority” the London Ambulance Service said in a statement.

One male bus passenger was taken to hospital suffering from back and neck pain, while another five passengers were treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Two other passengers were treated at the scene.

The London Road, on which the accident happened, was closed after the accident but has since reopened.
