Pics: Owls and tigers and frogs get weighed... oh my!

Tammy the anteater was also among the animals that had their weights checked during the annual weigh-in at London Zoo today.

IT’S WEIGH-IN time at London Zoo – and not every animal is happy about it.

In fact, one owl looked a little put out that it had to have a public weigh-in, as you’ll see in our slideshow below.

However, Max the Eurasian eagle owl had to put up with the annual weigh-in at Regents Park, as he wasn’t the only animal being put through the process.

From snakes to tigers, the zoo had to use unusual means to find out their weight.  Jae Jae, the Sumatran Tiger, was measured by staff who held up his breakfast so that he would stretch to full height.

Tammy the anteater, meanwhile, was able to chow down on her mealworm breakfast after her successful weigh in.

The creatures’ measurements were taken so that they could be recorded in the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) at the zoo.
