GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING an incident outside Longford town last night in which shots were fired at a house.
A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that two shots were fired at the house on the Dublin road at approximately 11.30pm.
At the time of the shooting, a female occupant was in the house but suffered no injuries. The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.
The spokesperson said gardaí are investigating all circumstances.

Is it just me or does it seem every criminal has a gun now ?? But they want to loose 1000 Gardaí and ‘crime figures’ are down …
No where seems safe these days
More Gardaí don’t equal less crime. Society dictates the volume of crime. If more people had the stomach for what needs to be done crime would drop.
