Lorry driver dies after single-vehicle accident in Donegal

The man in his 30s was driving the lorry when the accident occurred at Pettigo at about 11:30am this morning.

A MAN in his 30s has died after an accident involving his lorry in Co Donegal this morning.

The incident occurred at about 11:30am, when the man was driving his lorry at Bannus on the Laghy-Pettigo Road, close to the border with Fermanagh.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the morgue at Letterkenny General Hospital.

The road remains closed to facilitate a forensic examination of the area, and local traffic diversions are in place.
