Lorry tries to make it under low bridge: Doesn't make it

The incident happend this morning in Portarlington, Co Laois.

SOMETIMES GETTING YOUR day started can be a real struggle.

And it appears that was the case this morning for a lorry driver who collided with a low- hanging railway bridge making his/her lorry shed its load into the road.

The picture of the incident was taken this morning by a motorist on the Canal Road in Portarlington, Co Laois.

Gardaí have confirmed that there is a diversion in place on the road while its cargo is moved to another lorry.

The incident is not believed to have caused any structural damage to the railway bridge.
